As an Accountant, GS-0510-13, you will serve as a senior accountant, providing authoritative/comprehensive technical expertise and guidance for accounting work using complex accounting principles, theories and practices for financial reporting, analysis and funds control issues. Duties: Serve as an expert providing professional accounting services to other financial managers regarding accounting functions and application of accounting principles, policies and procedures. Ensure the integrity, propriety, accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions. Determine corrective action necessary to resolve complex operational problems by reviewing, analyzing and evaluating incoming source socuments. Review a variety of complex incoming, outgoing and summary financial reports to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of financial operations and financial reports. Translate accounting/audit language and monitors complex accounting operations compliance to identify problem areas, determine action required to improve operation program effectiveness and maintain integrity of financial and accounting information.
