Jobs and pay
Enter your offer and see where it lands against what employers actually post for the same job. Free, no email needed.
Your offer is compared with the pay ranges employers publish on their own job postings, from the jobs ChatCPA tracks across the US, open and closed, from the last 18 months. Each posting counts once, at the middle of its range. We use the closest match that has at least 8 postings from at least 4 different employers, and widen the comparison when there are fewer.
Posted ranges are not offers. Most offers land inside the posted range, often in the lower half for new hires. Ranges come mostly from states with pay-transparency laws, so some areas are thin. When your metro has too few postings, we compare with areas that have a similar cost of living, and say so. Each employer counts once, so a firm posting the same job in 50 cities doesn’t count 50 times. The Big 4 post one national range for every office, so theirs is placed by your state’s cost of living, the same way as on the salary stats page. Base pay only: bonuses, overtime, 401(k) match and exam support are not counted. This is information, not advice.
