The Group Statutory Controller will be a key member of the group finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting and Group Accountant. They will oversee the local statutory accounts reporting process across the group, working with local statutory controllers and auditors to ensure consistent delivery of timely and high quality statutory reporting under relevant local accounting standard. They will also drive operational excellence in the statutory reporting process, identifying areas for improvement in the statutory control environment and intercompany process. OPPORTUNITIES You will work closely with local statutory controllers to ensure timely delivery of subsidiary statutory accounts to meet local reporting and borrowing covenant deadlines You will provide technical support to local statutory controllers on preparation of local statutory accounts, including goodwill/intangible asset impairment reviews and accounting for investments and intercompany balances You will develop strong working relationship with local external auditors to ensure smooth audit process and minimize audit issues You will act as a key point of contact for local statutory controllers, identifying common reporting/control issues and implementing solutions together with the group finance team You will communicate reporting issues on a timely basis to the Head of Group Reporting and work with the group finance and local finance team to resolve issues identified You will oversee reconciliation process between local statutory and group reported numbers, and drive improvements in the...
