Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP) to join our team covering maternity leave. Reporting directly to the Buildings and Places divisional finance director, the SFBP is responsible for the financial management of the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland (NSNI) Market and Practice. This role will be based out of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle, Stockton, York, Liverpool, Manchester. Your role Be an influential member of the NSNI leadership team, providing evidence-based insights to enable leadership to optimise Market and Practice performance and deliver on key performance targets. Provide regular feedback to the leadership team on the NSNI financial results against its budget and forecast, the drivers of these results, and advice on corrective or accelerating actions that are required. Ongoing financial risk management including review of project forecasts, running costs, billing and debt. Work with stakeholders across the Market and Practice to develop and prepare our annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Including agreement of key performance drivers and plan for delivery of future financial targets. Lead on the flight path toward each financial month-end. Drive and chase the required actions across the business to land the in-month results. Management of cash-flow, monitoring performance and providing support to the business and liaison with the SSF teams regarding billing and debt collection. Support to project managers and bid directors with pricing and bidding for opportunities, including review of bid models. Liaison with group functions as appropriate on tax, treasury, commercial, cosec and accounting issues. Ad hoc projects and support to the divisional finance director. Involvement with AtkinsRéalis financial improvement initiatives. Champion roll-out of new finance and governance systems. Support delivery of improvements to reporting. About you Strong academic record. A qualified accountant. Strong technical accounting skills. Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters relevant to the geography. The role will require travel, mainly within the UK. Demonstrable growth mindset, strong record of collaboration. Able to demonstrate curiosity about business and its drivers. Resilient and agile. Well-developed commercial acumen.
