Iron Mountain is seeking an analytical and highly motivated Technical Accounting Manager to join our Global Controllership team. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing and driving emerging technical accounting issues, ensuring symmetry in accounting practices across business units, and directly supporting the company's financial reporting and global audit processes. You will step into a collaborative dynamic within the Global Controllership division, reporting directly to the Director of Global M&A and IT Accounting Center of Excellence. What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Technical Accounting & Interpretation: Support the precise application of complex US GAAP and IFRS, specifically addressing business combinations, acquisition of assets, divestments, equity method investments, joint ventures, non-controlling interest, consolidation conclusions, software, intangible asset valuation, long-term asset impairments, and goodwill impairments. Financial Documentation & Reporting: Author highly detailed, technical accounting memorandums to document transaction conclusions for key internal stakeholders and external auditors, while reviewing footnote disclosures to support quarterly and annual financial statements. Policy Standardization & Governance: Maintain strict symmetry and consistency in accounting policies across all global business units, aligning key judgments, assumptions, reviews, and procedural protocols.
