Together, we grow, belong and impact. #LI-DNP About the team Our Tax Dispute Resolution team supports clients in managing and resolving complex tax disputes and enquiries. Working with individuals, businesses and other stakeholders, the team helps clients navigate interactions with HMRC, combining strong technical tax knowledge with commercial judgement and a practical approach to resolving disputes. About the role As an Assistant Manager within Tax Dispute Resolution, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team advising clients across a varied portfolio of tax disputes and HMRC enquiries Duties will include:- • Working on a portfolio of tax dispute and enquiry matters, supporting cases from initial review through to resolution. • Reviewing client information, identifying key technical issues and carrying out detailed tax research. • Preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively. • Liaising with clients, HMRC and colleagues, building trusted relationships and providing practical, commercially focused advice. • Supporting senior colleagues on complex or higher-risk disputes, including developing case strategies and gathering supporting evidence. • Monitoring relevant changes in tax legislation and HMRC practice and considering their implications for clients. • Managing deadlines, budgets and competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and client service. • Supporting and coaching junior colleagues and contributing to their development. • Working collaboratively with specialists across the wider Tax practice to provide clients with joined-up advice.
