Duties: Provides expert advice and counsel on financial management, budgeting, performance management, program integrity, and internal controls to OWCP leadership and key executives. Develops comprehensive budget forecasts and oversees strategic financial planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals and long term fiscal sustainability. Leads and participates in all stages of financial planning, execution, and accounting for OWCP resources. Maintains fund control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with fiscal guidelines. Oversees the prompt and precise generation of comprehensive accounting reports and financial statements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Directs risk management strategies to mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse, embedding robust accountability frameworks across all operations. Provides executive leadership in articulating and defending OWCP's financial strategies and priorities, ensuring alignment with departmental and federal objectives.
