What You’ll Do Are you a tax professional looking to deepen your expertise with some of the most complex, sophisticated client work in the industry? At Cohen & Co, we believe in putting great people first — fostering a culture where collaboration, growth, and technical excellence come together. As a Senior on our Family Office Tax team , you'll work with high-net-worth individuals and families — preparing complex individual, partnership, and trust returns with investment-heavy structures. This isn't cookie-cutter compliance work. You'll gain hands-on exposure to sophisticated tax issues and complexity that most professionals don't see until much later in their career. Tax Preparation, Review & Compliance Prepare complex individual (Form 1040), partnership (1065), and trust (1041) tax returns Work on returns with complex investments including hedge funds, private equity, and alternatives Assist with foreign reporting and international tax compliance as applicable Deliver high-quality work on time while upholding firm standards Technical Growth Deepen your expertise in high net worth and family office tax matters Research and help resolve complex technical tax issues alongside experienced team members Client & Team Collaboration Work closely with managers and other team members on client engagements Begin mentoring staff-level team members on preparation and process Contribute to a team culture built on collaboration, learning, and shared growth Who You Are Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 2+ years of tax experience Strong technical experience in high net worth taxation Hands-on experience with complex returns, including individuals, partnerships, and trusts Strong technical aptitude and careful attention to detail Willingness to own complex work and take pride in getting it right Desire to grow into review and take on more responsibility over time Clear communicator who thrives in a team environment Preferred CPA license, or progress toward one (strongly preferred) Background in public accounting, high net worth, or family office tax Experience working with high net worth clients and complex investment structures Exposure to alternative investments and foreign reporting Who We Are #LifeatCohen Sure, we like numbers.
