Caring and Thoughtful | Get Things Done | Work with Purpose BAS Senior Accountant I Summary A Business Advisory Services (BAS) Senior Accountant I organizes and coordinates clients’ tax data for the accurate, timely completion of individual tax returns and simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns. This position also involves QuickBooks consulting and training, outsourced accounting, and requires frequent collaboration with other departments. BAS Senior Accountant I Responsibilities Communicates with engagement leaders and clients regarding open items and other pertinent matters in a timely manner. Performs tax return interviews with clients as needed. Provides technical assistance to clients in all areas of accounting. Leads client QuickBooks Training. Prepares required tax returns in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders. Creates, reconciles and ties out trial balances. Reviews basic accounting trial balance. Trains and mentors staff on simple accounting and tax returns. Proactively manages project timelines and budgets. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting or tax preparation preferred. Active CPA licensure preferred. Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel. Proficient in QuickBooks Online. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
