Trout CPA is seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager to lead outsourced controllership and advisory services for professional service clients. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner to business owners and leadership teams, providing strategic guidance that helps firms improve financial performance, enhance operational efficiency, and make informed business decisions. This is a leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking strategically. You'll oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and advisory services while helping clients navigate growth, profitability, and long-term planning. Equally important, you'll mentor and develop CAS staff, building strong teams and scalable processes that support client success. Key Responsibilities Lead and review outsourced controllership and accounting services for professional service clients Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making Analyze revenue trends, utilization rates, project profitability, and operational performance metrics Standardize accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and accuracy Serve as the primary financial advisor and point of contact for business owners and leadership teams Collaborate with clients on growth planning, staffing decisions, pricing strategies, and operational improvements Lead, coach, and review CAS staff work to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistency Assist clients with accounting system optimization, workflow improvements, and technology implementation Coordinate with tax, audit, and other advisors to...
