Job Title Senior Accountant What does a successful Senior Accountant do at Fiserv? As a Sr. Accountant at Fiserv, you will participate in daily accounting operations, prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations to assist with monthly close activities, and record the accounting of complex technology-related expenditures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Fiserv policies. You will partner with Finance, IT, and various stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, improve processes, and support audits and regulatory requirements. What will you do: Participate in the day-to-day accounting for infrastructure and software including collaborating with Technical Accounting, Application Development, Corporate Accounting, BU Accounting, Sourcing, Procurement and Finance Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations supporting month-end accounting and financial reporting processes Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to determine accounting treatment for technology-related purchases and capitalized costs Lead, train, and develop the Central Accounting India team for assigned general ledger accounts; review work and ensure consistency with policies and procedures Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements, and Fiserv accounting policies Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary What you will need to have: 3+ years experience in Accounting supporting journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting processes Experience with U.S.
