Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility. Job Title: Senior Accountant Job Status: Year-Round Full-Time Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,653.85 to $2,915.38 biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Job Summary: The Senior Accountant position is a full-time, year-round position at Copper Mountain. The accountant administers and coordinates general ledger transactions to maintain an accurate balance sheet and ensure truthful financial reporting. The accountant also works with Powdr Corp. accounting to make certain that Copper Mountain is in compliance with regard to government and other financial regulations within the privately owned company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage multiple monthly financial close activities including but not limited to: Balance sheet account reconciliations Researching and correcting reconciling items. Reviews for accuracy and posts journal entries (including but not limited to revenue, payroll & benefits, COGS, AP, AR, inventory adjustments, and other general entries as needed) Assist with month-end/year-end close processes, journal entries, financial reporting & necessary reviews. Review financial transactions and accounting records for accuracy and completeness. Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and account issues.
