Worth knowing: Supervisory duties assigning work to subordinates
Work under general supervision of the Comptroller with broad authority for the exercise of independent judgment and decision in planning and directing work and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations governing financial management. Consults supervisor concerning problems of an unusual nature and makes recommendations relative to changes in procedures and policies. Completed work is subject to spot-check review but is normally considered final. Duties: Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Review prior year funding programs, joint review programs, timekeeping, government travel card programs and travel authorization systems for compliance with mission goals. Communicate finance and accounting resource management activities to higher headquarters, support activities, and the managers of the activity.
