Summary: Genesys is looking for a passionate Senior Technical Revenue Accountant to join our growing team! The Senior Technical Revenue Accountant will support complex contract reviews, technical accounting assessments, and revenue recognition matters across Genesys’ product and service offerings. This is not a typical revenue accounting role. The position requires strong technical accounting skills, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. The Senior Technical Revenue Accountant will perform ad hoc analyses, evaluate complex contract terms and deal structures, and partner closely with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to determine the appropriate revenue accounting treatment. The ideal candidate will play an important role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition while helping the business navigate complex and evolving commercial arrangements. The role requires the ability to translate technical accounting conclusions into practical guidance that supports business objectives while maintaining compliance with Company policy. Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to); Technical Revenue: Review complex customer contracts, amendments, and non-standard transactions to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 and Company policy. Research technical accounting guidance and prepare clear, well-supported accounting assessments and memoranda for complex or judgmental transactions. Evaluate new and evolving products, pricing models, and commercial arrangements to determine revenue recognition implications.
