About the Role We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Finance Manager to join our Finance Team at BDO. The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the financial accounting team’s operations, including financial reporting and providing key insights and strategic direction to support business decision making. As a trusted adviser, you will ensure strong financial governance and compliance across the financial close and reporting processes, while collaborating with stakeholders to manage financial outcomes and expectations. Key responsibilities include: Manage the day-to-day activities of the financial accounting team Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, prepayments, journals and accruals Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and integrity of the accounts Support the interim and annual audit process including overseeing the preparation of annual financial statements and notes. Lead process improvement and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and promote best practice Conduct weekly cash flow analysis and general cash flow management (e.g., sweeps) Identify and maintain key processes and controls to ensure strong financial governance and discipline Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, empowering them to deliver initiatives aligned with the Finance Strategy Maintain comprehensive documentation and records to adhere to BDO’s policies and procedures Work closely with the Financial Controller, the CFO and wider Finance team or business on relevant projects.
