About the Role As part of the Audit Professional Practice Department (APPD), the Audit & Assurance Quality (AAQ) function plays a central role in supporting the consistent delivery of high-quality audits and assurance engagements across BDO. AAQ develops and maintains audit methodology, policies and guidance, monitors compliance with professional and regulatory requirements, and provides technical consultation and support to engagement teams on complex matters. AAQ also oversees quality management processes, including monitoring and remediation activities, root cause analysis, learning and capability development initiatives. Through these activities, AAQ helps foster a culture of quality, professional scepticism and continuous improvement, reinforcing BDO's commitment to serving the public interest and maintaining stakeholder confidence in our work. The PCAOB-focused audit quality team works with engagement teams, service line leaders and subject matter specialists to support the consistent application of PCAOB auditing standards, BDO methodology and relevant regulatory requirements for engagements performed in the PCAOB environment. About the Opportunity The Manager – PCAOB Audit Quality supports the development, implementation and operation of audit quality activities for PCAOB engagements. The role will provide practical methodology support, assist with inspection readiness and remediation activities, and contribute to learning and capability-building initiatives that promote consistent, high-quality engagement outcomes.
