Assurance Manager, Private Company What You'll Do Are you ready to own the engagement, not just run the fieldwork? At Cohen and Co, our Private Company Assurance practice serves privately held businesses in manufacturing, automotive, distribution, real estate and construction, healthcare, and professional services. These are companies where the audit relationship matters, and where a manager who understands the business makes a real difference. As an Assurance Manager, you'll oversee multiple engagements from planning through completion. You'll partner closely with engagement partners to align on expectations and make sure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met every time. You'll also build lasting client relationships and develop the seniors and staff who will become the practice's next leaders. Engagement Management and Delivery Take full responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing multiple audit engagements at the same time. Monitor engagement budgets, manage workflow, and deliver on time and efficiently under tight deadlines. Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to professional standards. Find ways to improve audit processes and make engagements more efficient. Client Experience Build a strong understanding of each client's operations, industry dynamics, and business objectives. Engage with clients regularly to understand their emerging needs, concerns, and strategic priorities. Spot opportunities to introduce additional services or new solutions that add value to the relationship. Support partners in expanding relationships within existing client accounts. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop audit seniors and staff, and build a collaborative team where people grow. Delegate effectively while staying accountable for engagement quality and deadlines. Give ongoing coaching and real-time feedback that builds technical skills and supports career progression. Contribute to internal initiatives focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Who You Are Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 4–6+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting. Currently performing at the Manager level. Active CPA license (required).
