GHJ Search & Staffing is partnering with an established international organization to identify a Senior Accountant for its growing accounting team in Cypress, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working across the full accounting cycle and wants exposure to a product/inventory-driven environment. The Senior Accountant will play an important role in month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, AP/AR, tax compliance, financial reporting, and process improvement. What You'll Do: Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Support and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities Assist with sales/use tax and property tax reporting and reconciliations Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations Support financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting Assist with inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, cycle/physical counts, and related analysis Partner with operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy Support external audits and provide schedules and supporting documentation Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes Assist with ERP enhancements and other accounting projects What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Approximately 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations Experience working with AP and AR Strong understanding of U.S.
