What You’ll Do Provide strategic leadership and direction for tax services, client engagements, and practice operations. Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals at all levels, including managers, seniors, and staff. Review and oversee complex federal, state, local, and international tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other entities. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, professional standards, and firm policies. Serve as the firm's technical resource on complex tax matters, regulatory updates, and tax law changes. Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies that help clients minimize tax liabilities and achieve business objectives. Advise clients on complex transactions, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic tax matters. Manage federal, state, and local tax audits, examinations, and tax controversy matters. Serve as the primary liaison with taxing authorities and oversee the resolution of audit findings and tax disputes. Oversee income tax provision and reporting processes, including ASC 740 compliance, when applicable.
