Aprio is seeking a Senior Tax Associate with a strong partnership tax foundation to support a diverse portfolio of real estate, development, and construction clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex business returns, taking ownership of engagements, and expanding their technical skills while working alongside experienced industry leaders and is ideally based in Portland, Oregon, with a hybrid work schedule, though we're open to exceptional candidates throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle, who can support occasional in-person team and client needs. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Take ownership of complex real estate tax engagements from planning through completion Develop specialized expertise in partnership taxation, real estate transactions, and flow-through entities Build meaningful client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor Collaborate with an experienced team that is investing in technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, and modern tax delivery processes Gain exposure to engagement review, staff development, and increasing leadership responsibilities as you progress toward Manager and beyond Work closely with partners and industry leaders who are committed to mentoring and developing future leaders within the practice Grow your career within a nationally recognized advisory and accounting firm with a strong and expanding real estate platform Responsibilities: As a Senior Tax Associate, your typical day may include: Preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, with a primary focus on partnerships and other flow-through entities Reviewing workpapers, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Taking ownership of assigned client engagements and helping drive...
