No busy work here. As an intern, you’ll be treated just like our entry level staff. You’ll help instill confidence in organizations large and small by assuring their financial health. We’ll give you the flexibility to craft business solutions, not just spreadsheets. Your work will include, but not be limited to: Consulting on tax planning strategies to achieve business and individual tax objectives Reviewing opportunities to optimize the timing of tax income and deductions through accounting method planning. Evaluating tax planning strategies resulting from legislation, regulations, and market developments. Researching technical positions and drafting memos and other position papers for a variety of federal tax matters. Assisting with federal tax consulting projects involving corporate, partnership, and individual taxation across all industries. Identifying tax planning opportunities and developing practical recommendations for clients. Assisting National Tax Office professionals with technical research and analysis of legislative, regulatory, and administrative tax developments. Meaningful interactions with staff at all levels, as well as with our impressive repertoire of clients. Deepen knowledge in tax and tax consulting through exposure to both service lines. The qualifications. Detail-oriented individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and research skills. Intellectual curiosity and a desire to develop deep technical tax knowledge. Strong interest in federal taxation, tax consulting, and technical tax research.
