Duties: Establishes and maintains processes to communicate changes in policies and procedures and issues of sensitive or general concern to all of the Field Audit Office (FAO) staff. Provides overall direction to the FAO regarding workforce development activities necessary to enhance and maximize the supervisory staff's leadership and interpersonal skills. Ensures that auditors receive training required by Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Reviews requirements and program plans developed by subordinate audit teams and coordinates Regional Audit Manager (RAM) review. Ensures data accuracy across data management systems. Qualifications: You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp. This position has a positive education requirement. You must submit proof of education or of certification to be considered for this position. To qualify for this position you must meet one of the basic requirements described below: Degree: accounting or a related field (such as business administration, finance, or public administration) that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting (may include up to 6 hours of business law).
