Responsibilities: As a Senior Tax Associate, your typical day may include: Preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, with a primary focus on partnerships and other flow-through entities Reviewing workpapers, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Taking ownership of assigned client engagements and helping drive projects through timely completion Working on real estate-focused tax matters including partnership allocations, multi-state filings, consolidated trial balances, and related compliance issues Researching tax issues and identifying opportunities to support client objectives and planning strategies Collaborating directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide responsive service Responding to review comments, resolving technical issues, and incorporating feedback efficiently Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback Collaborating with offshore preparation teams and reviewing simpler returns to ensure quality and consistency Leveraging tax technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and service delivery Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service Working closely with Managers, Directors, and Partners to deliver high-quality tax solutions and support client growth initiatives Qualifications: The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in partnership taxation and enjoys technically challenging business-return work.
