Caring and Thoughtful | Get Things Done | Work with Purpose Tax Senior Accountant Summary The Tax Senior Accountant I manages and organizes clients’ tax data to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of individual tax returns, as well as moderately complex corporation, partnership, S-Corp, and trust tax filings. Tax Seniors take an active role in all phases of engagement, applying technical expertise and critical thinking to deliver high-quality results. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting research on complex tax issues, and identifying planning opportunities for a diverse client base. Tax Senior Responsibilities Serves as a trusted advisor to clients by providing technical tax guidance, addressing inquiries, and proactively identifying opportunities for tax planning and optimization. Oversees the preparation and review of business and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to firm and professional standards. Cultivates and strengthens client relationships through regular communication, understanding their financial goals, and offering tailored tax strategies to support their business and personal financial success. Maintains awareness of prescribed budgets and deadlines, proactively managing engagement timelines to ensure efficient and timely completion of client deliverables. Conducts tax research on complex issues, interpreting regulatory updates, and collaborating with internal departments to provide informed recommendations and solutions. Leads, trains, and mentors staff on tax principles, best practices, and firm procedures, ensuring their professional growth and development. Guide junior team members through the preparation of simple accounting and tax returns, reviewing their work for accuracy and offering constructive feedback. Actively participates in engagement planning, identifying potential risks, tax-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
