Job Responsibilities Assume overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and completion of multiple healthcare assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations for healthcare organizations such as hospitals, health systems, physician practices, and other healthcare entities. Manage engagement workflows and deliverables to minimize risks and surprises, ensure high-quality service, optimize engagement economics, and meet all internal and external deadlines. Lead engagement planning, including scheduling, staffing, risk assessments, reliance on internal controls, materiality, and overall audit approach, with a focus on healthcare-specific risks. Review engagement workpapers and reports to ensure compliance with firm policies, GAAP, GAAS, and applicable healthcare regulatory standards. Apply advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS as they relate to healthcare organizations, including revenue recognition, third-party reimbursement, patient receivables, cost reporting, and internal controls Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, formal performance feedback, and career guidance to supervisors and staff. Monitor budgets to actual and actively manage engagement profitability.
