As a Non-Profit Audit Manager , you will lead audit engagements for nonprofit organizations, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor team members throughout the engagement process. This role offers a variety of client work, flexible scheduling, and convenient regional travel opportunities. What You'll Do • Lead and manage nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion, including presentation to clients. • Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and seniors throughout all phases of an engagement. • Review financial statements and related audit documentation for accuracy and compliance. • Advise clients on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters. • Identify and resolve complex accounting and audit issues. • Evaluate and test internal controls and financial reporting processes. • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service. • Review and/or prepare Form 990 and related state informational returns • Participate in business development activities, networking opportunities, and client presentations. • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's Audit practice. Requirements What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. • Active CPA license. • Five or more years of public accounting experience with nonprofit experience. • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, compilations, and reviews. • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls over financial reporting. • Strong knowledge related to the preparation of Form 990s and IRS regulations for nonprofits. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining quality service.
