Position Summary Brown Advisory is seeking a Senior Tax Manager, Private Markets to oversee tax compliance, reporting, and related advisory matters across the firm's private equity and alternative investment feeder-fund platform. This role is designed for an experienced private funds tax professional who can independently manage a portfolio of entities across multiple fund platforms, service providers, reporting requirements, and compliance deadlines. The Senior Tax Manager will oversee the full annual tax compliance lifecycle for assigned entities, partnering closely with external tax advisors, internal finance and operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent tax reporting. The role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to critically review outsourced tax work, and the project management skills to coordinate multiple overlapping deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Manage the annual tax compliance process for assigned private market entities, ensuring all filing deadlines and reporting requirements are met. Review federal and state partnership tax returns, Schedule K-1 and K-3 reporting, state investor packages, withholding calculations, composite filings, and related tax workpapers. Coordinate with external tax service providers to monitor deliverables, resolve technical issues, and ensure complete and accurate filings.
