Duties: Participates in financial briefings concerning operating programs, prepares, analyzes, interprets and presents accounting data that is critical to the team’s overall mission. Responsible for examining, analyzing, interpreting and monitoring obligation data and contract agreements for reimbursable orders. Ensures the maintenance of the Agency's DAI accounting system is up-to-date, so that the obligation and disbursement of reimbursable funds are processed correctly, with the correct customers' accounts being billed. Support the reporting team to resolve financial discrepancies impacting general ledger and financial statements by conducting a root-cause analysis to provide clear explanations and corrective actions affecting the financial statements. Qualifications: You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp. This position has a positive education requirement. You must submit proof of education or of certification to be considered for this position. To qualify for this position you must meet one of the basic requirements described below: Degree: accounting or a related field (such as business administration, finance, or public administration) that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting (may include up to 6 hours of business law).
