Who we are looking for State Street Investment Management is the fourth largest asset management firm globally. Global Funds Management is responsible for all treasury, fund administration, and reporting for our registered and unregistered funds globally. This includes valuation, board liaison and reporting, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, expense accruals, service provider oversight, new product implementations and change management. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. Currently, 3 days/week are required to work in the office. Global Funds Management provides a centralized oversight program for various IM products and services by implementing, managing and/or overseeing the administration, tax, treasury, fund governance and regulatory reporting requirements for IM funds. The strategic objective of the role is to ensure appropriate tax withholding, refunds are executed upon in a timely manner, reporting is undertaken where required, and is done so within the regulatory framework of the tax jurisdictions of operation and investment for SSGA products. We are looking for someone with custody and/or tax advisory background who can help the team and support tax processes for SSGA products. What you will be responsible for: Ensure appropriate tax documentation is in place with the custodians to avail preferential tax rates for EMEA and North American funds. Create and update documentation as required to avail preferential tax rates for EMEA and North American funds. Provide support for filing of foreign tax reclaims with foreign authorities and payment of such reclaims. Regularly review Custodians' portals and reports to monitor tax efficiency for EMEA and North American products.
