The Senior Director, International Tax will lead Amgen’s talented international tax team, which is responsible for direct tax matters outside the United States. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President, Global Tax Planning and Controversy, the Senior Director will serve as a member of the tax planning leadership team. This fixed-term position through December 2027 offers a defined, high-impact mandate to set strategy and priorities, lead a geographically dispersed team, and shape significant enterprise initiatives. The role spans the international tax agenda, from significant cross-border initiatives and engagement with senior business leaders to oversight of recurring responsibilities. The successful candidate must quickly establish credibility, exercise sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations, influence senior stakeholders, and translate enterprise priorities into clear direction for the team. Although primarily a leadership role, the individual must be willing to work directly on critical matters when needed.
