About the role The Commercial Finance Analyst / Senior Analyst is the analytical backbone of the Business Unit (BU) finance team, working directly with the Commercial Finance Manager and Director. The role is responsible for the hands-on execution of core Commercial Finance processes: maintaining live revenue and cost models, producing the analytical outputs that underpin BU reporting, building the financial workings inside business cases, and keeping tracking tools and approval logs current at all times. Where the Commercial Finance Manager owns and co-ordinates the process across function leaders, the Analyst / Senior Analyst builds, maintains and reconciles the underlying models, data and outputs that make that co-ordination credible. The quality of the BU narrative depends directly on the quality and timeliness of what this role produces. The Analyst/Snr Analyst executes defined tasks and model updates within established frameworks, owns analytical workstreams, prepares business cases and narratives, escalating judgment calls to the Commercial Finance Manager, and acts as a reliable deputy for the Commercial Finance Manager.
