Role Title: Finance Manager, Controllership – Must be fluent in Romanian & English BU/Segment: Finance Location: Dublin, Republic of Ireland (Flexible hybrid working) Employment Type: Permanent Summary of the role: EXL is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its International Controllership team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, statutory reporting, compliance, and controllership activities for one or more legal entities within the EMEA region, with a primary focus on Romania and Bulgaria. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between local finance operations, external advisors, auditors, and EXL's global finance organisation. The individual must be fluent in both Romanian and English and possess strong technical accounting expertise, together with a solid understanding of Romanian statutory, and tax requirements. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for: Financial Reporting & Close Management Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial reporting. Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyse financial results and investigate significant variances. Support consolidation and group reporting requirements. Statutory Compliance Manage Romanian and Bulgarian statutory accounting and financial statement preparation. Coordinate annual audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors. Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and company policies. Oversee compliance with reporting obligations.
