About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Commercial Accountant to join our Auckland team in a full-time permanent role. This is a broad role combining financial accounting, commercial analysis and business partnering. You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver financial reporting, budgeting management and performance insights, while supporting supplier funding, franchise operations and strategic business initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful business recommendations and wants to make a tangible impact in a growing retail organisation. In this Role Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis. Oversee journals, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations. Oversee ARG Alliance Agreement completion and account set-up. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Assist Metcash Tax team in preparation and lodging of GST, FBT, and other statutory returns. Assist Metcash Finance in compliance with New Zealand accounting standards and tax requirements.
