The Harvey Norman ® Online Franchisee is the single largest independent Franchisee Business in Australia, and the successful candidate will leverage their extensive skills and financial experience to analyse profitability and business performance and identify areas for revenue growth and profitability. About the role Reporting to the Director of Harvey Norman ® Online, the Financial Controller will contribute to the success of Harvey Norman ® Online by taking responsibility of the management and oversight of all accounting and financial reporting operations, including transactional functions such as invoicing, payables and receivable. As a hands-on Financial Controller, you will lead the Finance and Administration teams and will liaise with Accounting Management of the Franchisor to ensure that the financial records and reports of the Online Franchisee are complete, accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards. You will provide financial and operational data and accounting guidance to the Leadership Teams, acting as a true commercial partner to support informed decision-making, assess profitability, and recommend improvements to enhance and grow financial performance. Responsibilities include: Managing all month-end reporting, including profit & loss and general ledger maintenance. Preparation of the annual budget for the Online business, updating forecasts as needed, and analysing actual performance against the budget, last year and revised forecasts, providing explanations for any material discrepancies.
