Lead and develop a multicultural finance team. The Opportunity Cochlear has an opportunity for full-time Manager - Group Accounting and Reporting based in our AU Macquarie office. In this role, the successful Manager - Group Accounting and Reporting will lead statutory reporting, consolidation and corporate accounting activities while acting as a key point of contact for finance teams across the Cochlear Group. Responsibilities include: Lead the preparation and delivery of half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with AASB and IFRS requirements. Oversee complex multicurrency consolidations, including consolidation entries, eliminations, equity accounting and foreign currency translation. Act as a key liaison for external auditors, senior finance leaders and regional finance teams on statutory reporting and technical accounting matters. Manage accounting and reporting activities for Cochlear Limited and other Australian-domiciled entities, including reconciliations, payroll costs and equity-based compensation plans. Provide technical accounting advice for material business events, including investments, acquisitions, divestments and commercial arrangements. Lead improvements to finance processes, systems, policies, controls and data quality while developing and supporting a high-performing global finance team.
